Our Story
Coastal Comfort San Diego was founded by Trever Blanc and is built on more than 30 years of hands-on residential HVAC experience. After three decades installing, repairing, and maintaining heating and cooling systems across San Diego County — first as a tradesman, then as a foreman, and finally as an owner — Trever started Coastal Comfort to give homeowners a different option from the corporate-owned franchises that have come to dominate the local market.
We are independently family-owned and operated. That matters more than it sounds. In the last decade, most of San Diego's well-known HVAC brands have been acquired by private-equity firms, where the business model centers on selling new equipment, charging premium pricing, and paying technicians on commission so they have an incentive to find more to sell on every visit. We work the opposite way: low overhead, no commissions, no sales quotas, and no pressure to upsell what is not actually needed.
