What we do at every visit, for each system
Once in spring before cooling season and once in fall before heating season.
- Replace the standard air filter
- Inspect thermostat operation
- Check the temperature split
- Visually inspect the condenser and evaporator coils
- Check electrical connections for visible issues
- Test capacitor readings
- Check refrigerant pressure and the condensation drain
- Verify blower motor operation
- Check the outdoor unit for debris and proper airflow
- Inspect accessible duct connections for air leaks
- Test system startup and shutdown
Repairs, replacement parts other than a standard air filter, and additional services are quoted separately. Plan members get 15% off that work.
Why two visits a year matters here
Homes in Carlsbad, Encinitas, Cardiff and Oceanside sit in salt air most of the year, and it works on the outdoor coil and the electrical connections faster than it does inland. The spring visit catches that before the summer heat, and the fall visit catches it again before the first cold week, when a furnace that sat idle since April gets asked to run. We are family owned and based in Carlsbad, and our technicians are not on commission, so nobody has a reason to sell you a part you do not need.
